Wu Feifan is the youngest winner achieved Magnolia Award in Guangdong province, specializing in hua dan, dao ma dan, learning from first-grade actor Luo jia bao and actress Ni Huiying. She graduated from Guangdong Cantonese Opera School of opera performance and subsequently accessed to Xinghai Conservatory of Music majoring in folk singing and popular singing with the mix of opera singing, folk singing and popular singing research. During the study in Xinghai Conservatory of Music, she went to Beijing and learn vocal music singing from famous music professor Ma Qiuhua in China Academy of Music.
The new Cantonese opera "The Mandarin Duck Sword" is her representative work with her beautiful costume and sweet voice, which have gained good reputation among experts and recognition of audiences. She starred in traditional drama "Da Jin Zhi", "White Snake", "Women General of Yang Family", "Catching Fish", "Love and Hatred", "Princess Babao and Di Qing", "Feng Yu Qi Pingji", "Hua Ran Zhuang Yuan Hong", new drama "Moon Shadow" etc. And she led a important role in traditional drama "Heiress", "The Emperor and Peasant Girl", "Emperor Rui and his wife Zhuang",new drama "Watchtowers" and so on. The teacher Hong Xiannv claimed that Wu is "a once-in-century talented person".
She was awarded a gold medal at a national karaoke competition and in National Small Plum Award in1998 and 1999. She gained the Second Prize in Guangdong Singing Competition, "Chinese Star" and "Performance Award" by Ministry of Culture, Silver Prize in the 1st Guangzhou Youth Drama and Opera Competition and Gold Prize in the 2nd.
